Well, it's getting closer! only 3 weeks away and still lots to do. Ski club members are meeting weekly to make sure all our ducks are in a row. right now the plan is for 15 skiers and 3 boats to leave Indian Head Boat club Thurs, Aug 6 at noon to head down to Pere Marquette State Park in Grafton to stay the night. they will take off from PMSP at 7am Friday morning, Aug 7. the plan/hope is to be at the Chillicothe Riverfront at 6p. good luck skiers!

also, we've been making headway on the riverfront activities for everyone to enjoy while we wait for skiers to come in. Children's Hospital of Illinois will be providing fun activities for the kids. local friends, family and vendors have offered to cook burgers and hot dogs in return for an in-kind donation! and we're well on our way to securing more raffle items! at this time we have commitments from Picket Fence, HairMasters, Maui Jim, and a "Fun in the Sun" summer goodies bag stocked with items from Children's Hospital of Illinois and Blue Heron Ski Club members. we will also have RTW 2009 shirts for sale at the riverfront. so we invite everyone to join us and have a blast as we wait for the arrival of the skiers on August 7th!
